During Hispanic Heritage Month and throughout the year, we’re proud to celebrate and support diverse Latino merchants, Dashers, and communities. Check out a few Latino-owned hotspots, their owners, and their chefs throughout Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City.

MIAMI

Seen here: Dos Croquetas owner, Alec Fernandez, and Chef Vicky Carballo

We know that for you Miamians, it’s hard to resist those Cuban croquetas, which is why at Dos Croquetas, owner Alec Fernandez and Chef Vicky Carballo, will always give you two. Originally founded as a pop up in 2016, Alec Fernandez (and his aunt) Chef Vicky Carballo set out to deliver the best handcrafted croquetas in Miami. We’ve got them available on Caviar and we (highly) suggest you try them out.

LOS ANGELES

Owners Ralph and Caroline Walde from Aymara Peruvian Kitchen, LA

Ralph Walde, originally from Peru, arrived in East LA, California in 2008 — where he met his wife, Caroline, now co-owner of Aymara Peruvian Kitchen. With a passion for food, travel and hospitality, the two bring Peruvian cuisine from Ralph’s generational family recipes to the heart of LA.

CHICAGO

Owner and Chef Rick Ortiz from Antique Taco, Chicago

At Antique Taco, owner and chef Rick Ortiz uses fresh foods from the Midwest to bring his Mexican food to life. He always dreamed of owning his own restaurant but never imagined it would include everything he loved all under one roof: meaningful food, beautiful antiques, and the ability to work with his creative wife and amazing team.

NEW YORK CITY

Seen here: Chef Enrique Olvera from ATLA, NYC

Chef Enrique Olvera brings an elevated taste of Mexico City to NYC. His upscale yet traditional cooking techniques will take you directly to his hometown and back, all in one bite. Some of our favorites include the delicious guacamole with tostadas and the 3 Shrimp Tacos served with queso, bean puree, lettuce, avocado and salsa.
